Shortly after leaving Amelia in the hands of Grace and exchanging a few formal words and well wishes, Ace lead Arizona away from the other participants and waited for Reijki to get to him. He had lost sight of her in the tumult, so he decided to stay a few meters off so he’d be easier for his teammate to spot.

While he couldn't find Reijki in the mass of people, his eyes caught someone else who looked oddly familiar. Similar to how he had reacted when first seeing Viv back in Hungary, his brows and lips puckered before the corners of his mouth formed into a genuine smile. Without even grabbing Arizonas reins Ace removed himself from his chosen spot and walked towards the Hrim, the person who had caught his attention. He had already inhaled some air to speak up when he realized something. The realisation of how Hrim had called Mikael in the spa and how close today was to Christmas evening rather hit him by surprise. He didn't think about it. Until now.

His smile disappeared as he became aware of how his dear friend wouldn't have the chance to spend Christmas with her loved one.  Ace remained in a rather stiff position for some time to then inform Hrim of his presence by clearing his throat. She turned around and a soft smile spread over her face as she recognized him. However, before she could say anything, Ace already tossed in a "I don't normally do this but…" and literally fell around her neck, hugging her tight. He could tell that Hrim froze for a moment, surprised by his action, but then she wrapped her arms around him as well. "I want to wish you a merry Christmas in advance." He smiled. "I know you'd rather have Mikael hug you and I'm sorry that you have to put up with me instead." His smile turned into a cheeky grin as they slowly released each other from their embrace. Zmeu and Arizona both snorted happily as they watched their two humans soon getting engaged in a lively conversation. Ace was surely very happy to meet Hrim again.

Ace isn't the kind of person to give out hugs randomly. But if he DOES hug you, you're rather dear to him <3
