Too Far Gone

Last minute entry

Siiince I failed to get the other entry done in time I decided that I would draw a quick entry of those two. Just because they deserve it. And because my real life is dragging me down and drawing while watching series relaxes me. The title actually refers to the series Nashville x3 
Also. Did I say a quick entry? Well. Uh. I failed XD


When Ace mounted his small mare, dressed only in shorts and an open jacket - and, well, his beanie of course - he felt comfortable the very first second he sat on her back. To be honest, he had done pretty terrible the first few times they had tried bareback jumping. Or jumping at all. But he had pulled himself together for Punkies sake and now he felt like it was about time to show off their amazing bond and skills. 

Punkie trotted towards the arena, her head held up high. "I swear, if you're going to throw me off just for fun you'll be in big trouble afterwards. And with big trouble I mean VERY big trouble." Ace shortened the reins as he stopped his mare at the entrance. Punkie flickered her ears. She wouldn’t do anything stupid. Would she? Naaah. After that embarrassing picture at TWD she had behaved really well actually. And even back then it hadn’t been her intention to 'ruin' the picture, as Ace would say. Everything she wanted was to have fun. To enjoy every minute. Every second.

They were let in just some moments later. Punkies hooves touched the warm water and she immediately began splashing around like a young child. "Punkie! Behave, c'mon", Ace groaned but even with his best efforts to do so he couldn't suppress a smile. He gave his mare the sign to start and after some happy last bucks, Punkie cantered along, facing the first obstacle. One with ducks on it. "You better make us look damn badass when jumping over it", Ace whispered silently. Punkie just snorted. And started gaining speed.
